Implementing Tier II Interventions and Supports Training
The Implementing Tier II Interventions and Supports Training consists of four parts: two full days of in-person trainings and two brief online presentations to be viewed as pre-work for each in-person training. The materials and pre-work presentations are available below. Please review the Implementing Tier II Training Overview to learn more.
The resources included in this toolkit are designed to help school leadership:
- Learn how to apply the problem-solving process to improve implementation of tiered supports at their school.
- Demonstrate an understanding of effective teaming structures and analyze how to modify their program to optimize team effectiveness.
- Describe characteristics of interventions and key considerations.
- Describe processes for documenting and monitoring interventions and their importance.
The Program Monitoring Toolkit is comprised of three main sections. The content of each section is summarized below.
Section 1: Using the Problem-solving Process to Improve Tiered Supports
This section includes a brief focusing on using the problem-solving process to optimize implementation of tiered supports.
Section 2: Effective Teaming Resource Collection
This section includes:
- A comprehensive one-pager describing the roles of school leadership teams in tiered supports monitoring.
- Videos showcasing effective leadership and data-based decision-making teams.
- A brief that focuses on building capacity for collaborative teaming.
Section 3: Implementing and Monitoring High-quality Interventions
This section includes a brief that focuses on characteristics of interventions and processes for documenting, monitoring, and evaluating interventions.
