Tennessee Tiered Supports Center is hosting two virtual Communities of Practice through the Strong School Series. The first event, Creating Schoolwide Systems for Teaching and Acknowledging Expected Behavior, was hosted three times in late July and early August. Participants received templates and examples for defining schoolwide expectations, ideas for acknowledging students expected behavior, and examples of implementation in schools across Tennessee.
The second event, Creating Schoolwide Systems for Responding to Challenging Behavior, will be held on August 23 and August 24. Participants will learn practical strategies for responding to challenging student behavior, and they will receive templates and examples of schoolwide systems for office discipline referrals, discipline flowcharts, and challenging behavior definitions.
More than 100 participants have registered for the event. If you would like to attend, click here to register. We will have another event in late January focused on engaging families and communities in school. More information to come soon!
