With the end of the current school year, it is time to start planning for the next one. Your school team should review multiple data sources to make decisions about changes that need to be made to your implementation of RTI2-A + RTI2-B. Here are a few helpful ideas of places to start.
- Complete the School Implementation Fidelity Assessment (SIFA) to examine your school’s capacity to support aligned implementation of RTI2-A + RTI2-B and measure progress over the past year.
- Use resource mapping tools to inventory your school’s teams, assessments, and interventions.
- Review student, staff, and family surveys to gain perspectives of key collaborators.
- Examine schoolwide outcome data to determine student progress and inform needs for next year.
- Evaluate your school’s progress toward the implementation goals included in its most recent RTI2-A + RTI2-B implementation plan.
As you begin updating your RTI2-A + RTI2-B implementation plan, think about how these data sources might inform your plan and professional development priorities:

- Office discipline referrals
- Exclusionary discipline
- Counseling referrals
- Nurse referrals
- Course performance
- Universal screeners
- District assessments
- End-of-course assessments
